If you're having bad periods you should try genceutic resveratrol. I'm taking 600mg/day (after being muscle tested) and so far I have great results. You can checkout this article

If you do decide to get resveratrol, in my opinion, whole food is always best long term. You should avoid the resveratrol made from knotweed. Nearly all of it is processed in India and is highly refined. Also contains emodin. Emodin is a laxative, chelator and causes insomnia and caffiene-like symptoms. Emodin can be very beneficial in short term. Even the resveratrol that is 99% pure is still not good because in order to get the emodin out, they have to process it even more...wow.
You can buy genceutic resveratrol at vitaminshoppe for a lot cheaper. I do a lot of other healthy things as well...including eating unshelled pumpkin seeds...lol...that's how I found this article.
You should also checkout a product by harmonicinnerprizes called aulterra. It's a "clay" type product that helps to neutralizes all kinds of toxicity including toxicity producted by the body. It's unlike the other clays out there that act to chelate. Long term usage of these can really deplete the body. Also, when aulterra is taken at the same time as other supplements, it increases their bioavailablity but 30-60%. I imagine it might even be good for
Depression because it puts a "positive" spin on everthing as a result of the light energy it produces in the body. Be prepared to have a spiritual experience and just go with it. It's not exactly a detox but something like that. I went through it for about 2-3 months. Get a cd that will help balance your chakras as your taking it. Helped be tremendously. This cd is the best: Chakra Healing Chants by Sophia - Chakra Balancing. I take 4 per day, one with each supplement dosage. If you eat meat, fish or eggs, you might need a little more in order to neutralize their side effects.
Other things that are *really* beneficial: olive leaf extract, ashwaghanda, vit.D, b-vit complex (garden of life), excersice--times per week, spring water--3 to 4
quarts per day--stop drinking filtered or tap water, milk thistle or liver rescue produced by healthforce.com (there's a synergistic relationship between glutathione, produced from milk seed thistle, and resveratrol)
