Hmmm. Interesting. But I'm not so sure I agree :) My husband (a horrid soda addict) lost 25 pounds when he switched from regular Coke to Diet Pepsi. Now, he does easily go through a 24-pack of Diet Pepsi in a weekend--so we're talking A LOT of soda. Of course, all that Diet Pepsi isn't good for him, but it's better than the same amount of sugar-filled regular soda. Personally, I don't drink a lot of soda, but when I do, Diet Pepsi is my soda of choice. And it actually tends to suppress my appetite.
