The Calcium cannot become ionized.

Calcium Hydroxide in a water solution is not very soluble but the amount that does dissolve forms Ca++ ions in the water. In order to ionized this further to Ca+++ you need almost 5000 Kilojoules / mol.

Unfortunately the description given does not really Ionized Water .

Some other methods do work, but from what I understand the energy requirements go beyond a simple battery.
