thanks for your post joe... and i agree with you about people talking from their head and not from the heart... and as you and i both know... the head is where the "ego" resides... the problem being that many of them just stop drinking and call that sobriety... theres an old saying that i like... "if nothing changes then nothing changes"... i guess the best thing about AA is that even though it's a "we" program the recovery part of it is an inside job...
you and i came into AA right about the same time... i went to my first meeting the later part of 85... took a long time for me to get it... some are thicker than others i guess...
sounds like it might be interesting living in near bangkok... but you certainly are right about getting something out of going to meetings... sometimes i learn how bad i am... and sometimes i learn how messed bad i aint...
anyhow... just wanted to say... it was good hearing from you joe strawberry...
