Vitamin C Flush

Hi Mishiwa,

Sodium ascorbate does taste a good bit better than calcium ascorbate (ester-C), but I have never been able to take enough to flush. I do agree about the taste of calcium ascorbate, but even worse to me is Ascorbic Acid powder. That stuff is sour to a fault. I do not care for the taste of sour. I have gradually learned to use fruit juice instead of water and also add honey until I do not mind the taste. Then chase it with fruit juice. Experiment to see what works for you.

I, too, was surprised at the pure energy gained. One other thing to watch for is constipation afterwards. I have found that if I take a tablespoon or so of olive oil a couple of times a day afterwards, my regularity isn't disturbed.

As you probably know, I use the flush at the first sign of a cold. I also have learned that when I have an injury or infection of any sort that the flush will have a dramatic effect on the healing. Sometimes I start to feel just plain run-down and will do a flush and it seems to get me back on the right track.

Thank you for the kind words and I am truly elated that something I passed along helps someone.

Corey
