Re: Vitamin C flush
You do ask some interesting questions. I can relate my experiences with the vitamin C flushes. Sometimes I can take the dosage you use and will get the runs in 2 hours or so, and sometimes it does not happen all day, like you. The only thing I can figure is that the flush only happens when the body has all of vit-c it needs at a given time.
I tend to get slack about taking my herbs and vitamins, so I do get the sniffles or sore throat on occasion. I will then take 10,000 msg of vit-c every hour and that will work soon. I seemed to me that flooding the body with vit-c and getting rid of the dross at the same time would be very beneficial, and that has proved to be the case. Back when I first heard of the flush, I had the same problem as you. I mentioned it to a friend that put me on to the process and she said that I was simply not using enough. That is when I up-ed it substantially.
You mention the energy. After the flush I would always feel like I was walking on air. One problem is you will have to guard against constipation in the days following the flush. I eat a lot of greens and take olive oil a couple of times daily and that seems to work.
Hope some of this helps. Good luck. I do not think you will regret it. By the way, since Owen got me to doing the LARGE daily doses of sodium ascorbate, my energy level stays high. I am 61 and have to guard against over using my body. It gets worn down and achy, but I am still energetic.
Good luck!!!
