Re: Vitamin C Flush
Dear Mishiwa,
Corey asked me if I would respond to your post. He's
been traveling for the last week.
It does sound like you're having some kind of allergic
reaction. My first suggestion is that you stop taking
vitamin C in the form of calcium ascorbate. Doctor
Thomas Levy, the current guru of vitamin C, and a man
for whom I have great respect, says that calcium
ascorbate should not be taken in mega-doses. He
recommends sodium ascorbate.
So get yourself some sodium ascorbate, preferably in
crystal form. I've been buying my vitamin C from
Bronson Vitamins for 28 years. They sell vitamin C in
all its different forms. One pound of sodium ascorbate
crystals costs about $17.00. A kilo (2.2 lbs) costs
about $36.00. Either size comes with a little white
spoon which holds 1,000 mg (1 gram).
DON'T start taking 20,000 mg per day. I suggest you
begin with 2,000 mg a day, and work your way up slowly.
If the allergic symptoms appear, cut back until they
stop.
Bronson's website is:

There are lots of other sources that also provide
sodium ascorbate powder or crystals.
Keep us posted on what you decide to do, Mishiwa.
Blessings,
Owen
