Re: Freaking Out!! Has anyone else gotten herpes II on legs or

my first outbreak had the biggest cluster on my inner though. i havent had it since the first outbreak.
herpes usually breaks out in the same area BUT sometimes it travels to different areas.

a nurse told me that it doesnt when i went to the ER. she was older so i am excusing her lack of information on the fact she didnt get the info herself back in the day when she was in school.

the doctor told me my cluster could be herpes. he told me to put cortaid on it and it if got worse it was herpes. otherwise it was just a normal skin rash. well the cortaid made it puffy and bigger and increased that tingle/itch/burn(that only feels like herpes). so it was herpes.i put zoverax cream on it and it went down within a few hours.

i suggest also that you go and get an aids test. aids can cause traveling body lesions too. that doesnt mean tht is what you have. BUT the sooner you treat aids the easier it is to manage. the test is free at your local health department and you get a # to test. you dont have to use your name.

could it be possible that you have type one and two?
type one has more of a "traveling" tendency. which is what i have. my sores did a clockwise rotation when they traveled. but they did not go back to the leg or show up anywhere on the body. i have type one. also type two seems to thrive on the genital area more than type one. the "types" do not refer to location at all. it is just the version of the virus. there are something like 12 or 6 (i forget the actual #) types of herpes. (chicken pox,leperosy,etc....)
