Re: Update:
The first two meals of the day sound as though they are very heavily laden with starches. You might consider an alternative for breakfast. I know that all the cereal companies are saying that their products now contain a lot of fibre and this is better than it was before, however she might do better on a Muesli, with fresh fruits. There are various types without lots of
Sugar - you could always sweeten it yourself with a
Sugar alternative such as Maple Syrup or Agave Nectar and then you have control on how much
Sugar goes in.
If she is not getting any dairy (not sure on that from your post) it may mean that her intestinal flora is not up to speed. I am by no means a great defender of dairy in the form of glasses and glasses of milk, however the beneficial bacteria in yoghurt is necessary for the digestive tract to work properly and run smoothly. If you are opposed to dairy you could consider giving her probiotics.
Has this been a long term problem or did it just arrise? Did you make any drastic changes to her diet during the last few weeks?
You must under all circumstances stop her from drinking Kool Aid and sodas, both laden with sugar, and artificial everything. And remember: Whatever you teach her now on nutrition and what to eat will be with her for the rest of her life.
