I take both calcium carbonate with magnesium oxide in the right proportions in a product called Liquid Calcium and Magnesium; and Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D. Both supplements are from Swanson Vitamins, although other companies make the same formulas. Neither supplement is expensive, and I know what I am getting. I use Redmon Real Salt for trace minerals, and take a mineral and B Vitamin supplement my Naturopath recommends called Disk Guard Plus. I never could find how much calcium was in the diluted lime water drink. I am not advising anyone who now uses the calcium hydroxide to quit, but I do believe that people need to know the product may not be right for everyone. I am also eating plenty of cantaloupes while they are in season, and regularly use a green drink. Whole foods are the best sources of bio-available minerals. Nothing you buy in pill or powder form will ever replace real plant minerals for what the body needs, craves and can utilize best.
