Re: A few questions for Lapis or Wrenn?

"once again I can't quiet this mind."

in your statement above this is the one that stood out most to me.

I will address this in as a condensed answer as i can.
are you not always in some form in a meditational state anyhow?

you dialogue with yourself every second.
you think introspectivly and bounce back thought and try to formulate or rationalise a solution to certain things etc.

this is part of our nature.
part of meditating is to clear your mind,
to free it completely
of even your own ego self saying hey listen to me
or your physical body saying hey i hurt or i am hungry etc.

it is learning to let your spirit be the leader.
if the emotions lead ,then the physical body gives in to all sort
of distracting activities which may or may not be healthful to us ie: cravings, needs for attention, etc.(the list is vast.

if the mind leads again: not in balance,
because you will constantly be judging youself and others based on what you have had * programed into you as a part of universal mindset of society.
the mind can trick itself, what it most often sees is thru the *smokey mirror* illusion of life.

When you meditate you are connecting to realign your body back into a harmonic balance.
you are opening the way to allow your essence spirit-self
( which is not constrained by illusional vision)
to help bring to you that which is needed in your life to help you be in true balance
and fully reach the measure of who you are and what you
are doing here.

when you are being lead by your own true self,
then the body and mind will follow

The power of NOW, living in the moment in the most powerful living there is.
to fret about the future is nothing but speculation.

to regret or carry around
baggage of the past leads to disease
and constant negative drain.

when you are led by your own spirit, you are accepting that you are an eternal spirit, and in the eyes of eternity there really is no concept of *time*
meditation is a *tool *
you can do it anywhere anytime..
you can use meditation to focus all your energies towards one thought ie: like to help bring healing to the tsunami area,
or to free your mind to be open to the universe.
to bring to you that which is needed within yours or others lives,

to pre-attach such notions as it must be this or that:
or done this way or that way. is self-limiting,
to say i should feel like THIS is a setup for failure 8)

i would say practice first on focusing your mind.
to drive out all thought..but one.
hold that one thought for 17 seconds.
which btw is very hard to do lol !!
you will gain much increased level of focus,
and thus the power of your intended outcome of that thought will be raised exceedingly.

consider this... *out of the void god created...
true creativity potential
is fully realized when you break free from all illusional concepts
when you can reach the point of just BEING in the NOW
in harmony with all things, then truly there will be nothing that you cannot do , if you but apply yourself to it and listen to your spirit and follow it in proper balance for unity of your own trinty within this universal existence as the eternals that we are ,full awake , fully aware. fully in tune.
