Re: PRAISE GOD!!! AMEN!!! Re: Insurance Industries are THE group blocking gay marriages
Wow, I guess nobody has to wonder what you think!!
Just so you might learn something, I want to share that I have a gay relative. I used to go to gay hangouts and bars with him and I can assure you that all the people I met there wanted a FRIEND, a PARTNER, somebody to LOVE and share a life with. Most of them had been forsaken by their families and it's my personal opinion that the rate of alcoholism among gay people is very high because they have difficulty coming to terms with their homosexuality.
I think the pedophiles you're referring to are more commonly 'straight' people who are in positions where they have access to children.
There was a sting done recently by a television show to catch and expose pedophiles. Most of them were straight, white and upper middle class. Teachers, coaches, even DOCTORS! (yes, pediatricians). Should the insurance companies refuse to sell malpractice insurance to doctors because of a few sicko doctors?
Your thinking is very limited and bigoted. It worries me that a thinking, voting American would be happy that insurance companies have power to legislate anything.
Before you get your bowels in an uproar (see "Colon Cleanse" section, lol, JOKE). I'm not angry at your statements, and I am a Christian.
I attend a Christian church regularly, am a singer/songwriter/musician and after years of panic and agoraphobia am finally able to share God's love through my music in front of people. That in itself shows me that our God is indeed a God of love and miracles.
I'm not saying you should approve of gay people even though I've never met one I didn't truly like. But Jesus does tell us to love everyone, sit down and break bread with them - isn't that what He would do? I'm positive He would. He would know the way to their hearts and help heal and change whatever needed to be changed. We don't have that power. We have the power of prayer to intercede if we're worried about what is ultimately someone else's business and not our own.
