I am transitioning to a raw vegetarian diet by switching to a raw fruit breakfast. Unfortunately, I end up feeling basically starving until lunch (at which time I eat a high-fat meal and no longer feel hungry). However, I am obese and definitely do not need the fat!

My breakfast today was a large bowl (approx 1 pint) of strawberries and cantelope. I also had water. I didn't eat the fruit all at once. I ate half initially and then the other half about an hour later. I felt fine for a few minutes after eating, but then I was hungry again. I also felt very sleepy (although that might not be related).

Can anyone give suggestions? Do I need to just deal with feeling hungry? Will it go away on its own eventually (and if so, when)? Or should I eat more fruit (I don't want to overeat)? I am used to overeating and eating quite a bit of junk food. I don't know if I have candida overgrowth or not. All I know is that I want to get healthy.
