who needs a 'rule' that says life is possible elsewhere? if evolution is correct, and life formed here, it'd be unthinkable to say that it hasn't formed elsewhere. lets say life formed on .oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo1% of the planets that even HAVE conditions similar to our own. within the universe.. you must realize that number is still in the billions, possibly trillions...
