Fruit and Vegetable washes?

I was wondering if anyone here uses a non-toxic safe for the environment fruit and veggie wash? If so what do you use? I have seen a few out there but am uncertain if they are safe or actually work. I am in a place where I can't find that many organic items, although I suppose organic would still need to be washed too. parasites and cross contaminants and all. Thanks for your help.
