Re: Iodoral is making me cold!

Thank you for your answer. I usually take Iodine on empty stomach before I leave home early in the morning (as I put 4 drops into the capsule, and have to take it immediately, so it wouldn't melt it.), then eat breakfast/snack around 9 or 10 and take companion nutrients - 200 mcg selenium (l-selenomethionine), 300-400 mg of magnesium malate, 1-2 grams of vit C, B complex, 100-200 B2 and 250 of regular flush niacin, and sometimes add a few capsules of Seeking Health multivitamin (the one you would need 8 per day for full dose.) Sometimes I add 300 mg alpha lipoic and vit a, D, and K2. I do take cod liver oil and black cumin seed oil once or twice a day as well. With lunch more vit C and magnesium. Between lunch and dinner I take half teaspoon of pink salt in water with lemon slices, and I eat lemon slices as well with a skin as I get home grown lemons, and rind is the healthiest part. When I get home, I take vit C, but sometimes do not take more other supplements.
Now that I am thinking, I did up my Iodine last few days through external application as I am putting it on my son, so I get some too through my hands, and sometimes I add on the moles as well. But I assume we get no more than 12 percent of it through the skin, right? But that is about the time I got cold. Funny thing is, that I also get hot flashes suddenly in the middle of cold spells for a few seconds, and then I am cold again. However I am 45, even though I noticed them coming on strongly just when I started iodine. They started before cold came. I didn't take Iodine yesterday like you said, and also took coconut and it seems to be better. And I salt food as much as comfortably possible with pink salt. To make matter worse I am testing sleeping in the hammock instead of the bed this week, and my back gets very cold early morning despite of my made down underquilt. But sleeping with socks and a sweater helped. :)
