Re: MSM success, then disaster! genius ideas welcome!
My advice is to stop using MSM.
I used it myself because of the claims made for it such as increasing glutathione production and other claims.
End result, my blood pressure rose by about 56% and my arteries developed atherosclerosis ie hardening of the arteries which could be seen as a white marking around the outside of my irises around the heart/lung and back mostly with my kidneys also showing other markings indicating circulatory problems. This was despite taking quite high dose vitamin K2 MK4 & MK7 which made no difference, things were getting worse all the time. Then I read something on another forum where someone questioned MSM usage and what he said did seem right. The idea was that MSM eliminates copper. I was supplementing with small amounts to balance zinc intake. Copper is an essential nutrient needed for elastin and collagen production which are key components for artery health.
I stopped using MSM and things have improved quite a bit with the white markings in my heart/lung substantially reducing. There is still some way to go before it is eliminated but at least things are now going in the right direction. I do still take high dose vit K2 and also Serrapeptase and Nattokinase but none of this made much difference while I was taking MSM.
I would recommend that if you use Serrapeptase/Nattokinase then I would also take nutrients for collagen production ie Glycine, Proline, Alanine and some Lysine with important Vitamin C and Magnesium. Grape seed extract and Anthocyanidins/Anthocyanins from berries or extracts would also be helpful. Re-perfusion injury and oxidation damage should be guarded against by antioxidants, Anthocyanidins/Anthocyanins can be helpful here and so can things like Astaxanthin and other natural antioxidants present in fruit and veg.
I would not recommend MSM to anyone following both mine and other people's experiences in using it.
