Hey...I just wandered onto this thread and wanted to throw in my 2 cents because my issue kinda runs parallel to yours. I am pretty sure I have an oxalate problem as I also get kidney pain. Never passed a stone...yet. What kicked all of that into my knowledge was my bad experience with high dosing vitamin c. Very bad a idea for anyone who has oxalate issues. I have gone on a moderate oxalate diet since then. 2 things that can turn into oxalate in the body...vitamin c and glycine (bone broth or collagen supplement). Just curious if u were messing around with bone broth? I started on a little msm because I felt I was having trouble detoxing the oxalate. I did a lot of methylation stuff with magnesium, folate, methyl b's etc. but I guess the sulfur pathways need to be open as well or the organs can have trouble with the excess oxalate. I am no expert obviously but I think we are riding down the same path of oxalate problems. Check out Susan Owens. She is the guru of oxalate. I am gonna go easy on the msm and methyl/magnesium but I'm gonna forge forward with both strategies hoping to detox over time without destroying my organs. Anyway...could keep on rambling but any updates on your situation? Or thoughts from anyone else about oxalate detox or whatever??
