That's the problem with hashimotos, it's an autoimmune that attacks the thyroid, not a thyroid disease. My thyroid is working fine, has never swollen or had nodules, and TSH, T3, T4 RT3 etc etc are all within range so I am working on getting rid of the systemic inflammation with plenty of techniques and diet before I look at Iodine again. I know taking anything over the RDA for me caused very very bad symptoms - but I think once the inflammation is under control I might (carefully) increase it again. It's a hard road.
