Hi - in reply to "This is a reply to # 2,385,656
Re: Concerned about transmission" - BTW am new here so am probably doing this wrong/wrong place - apologies if I am!
OK as you're UK based (same as me) I believe a UK pharmacist offers doctors ie can only fulfil a script for either albendazole or mebendazole for what I have. I have whipworm (US private diagnosis - infection rate not give just "detected"!) ie it cd be in the organs by now or just a low dose of it. Have had strange pricking and stabbing across my body including my eyes- I also have other gut situations to deal with. This worm and probably others are linked to raw fish (think sushi), poorly cooked meat; non washed salads (think your average restaurant) and so on. Apparently it's common but my pharmacist has had to order it and the GP did a script for it. They come "chewable non
Sugar which willl mean the addition of aspartame, sorbitol whatever - so am not pleased. In the meantime am considering a natural (slower to act but presumably more gentle on the liver etc) based product - health food shops stock them.
A NHS stool test abt the same time came back negative. It did not include
parasite check.
If you have the money it's worth investigating a private stool test I believe. But you may find you have "opportunistic" other things going on which will need attention perpaps. The NHS hasn't use INVERMECTIN - I think on cost.h However a quick read yesterday stated that albendazole and mebendazole have low cure rates and need invermectin to improve the efficacy see

Yes it IS disconcerting to have strange nerve effects going on - my GP has even booked me an MRI - which I will decline for now. BTW worth coming off
Sugar and eating as "clean" as you can ie healthily organic if poss and so on.
