Re: mirena coil and rheumatoid arthritis

Hi, I am on my second Mirena coil implant and have recently been suffering with severe joint pain. I'm wondering if my problems could be related to my implant, however my husband feels it probably isn't as I didn't have any reaction to the first one. Up until now I have put the joint pain down to possible menopause onset as I'm turning 48 this year but after reading other people's posts explaining their symptoms I'm even more convinced it could be the Mirena. Has anyone else been fine for the first implant but not the next? I'm currently awaiting blood test results. My doctor seemed baffled by my symptoms, as different joints ache at different times and I don't have any swelling or redness. So tired of feeling and moving like I'm 80 plus.
