I am not that concerned with actual weight, but if you have elevated FFA's which you would if you even have a little bit of fat you're burning then it keeps the insulin resistance in your cells still high. That can rapidly lead to high insulin levels and then back to pre diabetes and weight gain.
I'd recommend losing weight to the low end of the "recommended" number for your age/gender/body size and staying there for a while to permanently lower your body's set point.
That's what I want to do, but all this eating is getting in the way for sure.
