Re: Whooping cough...
Well, I do my best ya know. I've known about the health benefits of loquat leaf (and fruit) for some time, but never tried a leaf concoction - or whatever it's called these days.
We grow them in our garden, and I love the fruit. Ours actually taste better than those we buy in Cyprus, which is really strange. You'd think the warmer Cyprus climes would make for a better taste, but you'd be wrong. Totally wrong. Our loquats are juicier, have a more complex (and bursting with) flavour, and have a slightly more noticeable acidic edge that makes it a really refreshing fruit. I was so impressed that I had to adopt it as my username. I toyed with Eriobotrya, but decided it was probably safer to avoid the lawsuits for dislocating ppl's tongues.
We grow figs here too. Yep, you read that right......
FIGS!!!.
.........and they're amazing too. No cursing of the fig trees around here.
Not bad for rainsoaked, damp, dank, overcast England, right? No, seriously, that's exactly what we have right now. Summer has been temporarily suspended in England. I'm hoping normal service will be resumed soon.
