Regarding bromine, since you have some clues regarding smell, know that bromine coming out of pores, sweat, and urine stinks like goat. When my husband oil pulls for bromine, the taste and stench can be so vile that he nearly vomits. This clue may help you know whether the issue is bromine or something else.
