It may also be because the fish oil they use is most often rancid.. it's a byproduct (a waste) from the fisheries... this is the primary reason that fish oil consumption is advertised so often by government organisations... it's a way to make money from waste product that would otherwise be disgarded... so for this reason I'd say plant based sources of all 3 omega fatty acids is probably your best often as well. I'll admit my consumption of DHA and EPA is currently non-existant. I get plenty of ALA though from seeds. I'm relying purely on my bodies ability to manfacture it at the moment which is less tham optimal if my EC is linked at all to a deficiency in omega 3. I'm also focusing now on the fact my zinc intake is WELL below the RDA, although I do wonder if most people take in more than 10mg of zinc per day ? The RDA is 12mg, with a tolerable upper intake of 40mg !!!
