Re: Longterm

Well a bit of scouting around and I've found a typical outline for an anti-inflammation diet:
http://www.augerchiro.com/files/Inflammatory_Foods.pdf

I eat both flax and chia seeds and I've already upped my intake of anti-inflammation foods as part of my switch to a vegan diet, but my evening meals consist primarily of white potatoes and white rice. White potatoes are pro-inflammatory being part of the nightshade family - more info here : http://www.thepaleomom.com/2012/08/the-whys-behind-autoimmune-protocol.html

I will be substituting the white potatoes for sweet potatoes, and white for brown rice.

“The nightshade veggies contain alkaloids, which act as natural pesticides, and can cause adverse reactions in some people. Some people are more sensitive to nightshades than others – particularly those who are experiencing arthritis, joint pain, GERD or other digestive issues. Removing nightshade vegetables from the diet has been known to greatly reduce inflammation and joint pain.” source : http://natracure.com/blog/eliminating-nightshades-arthritis

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
