Re: Self-awareness is one of the biggest threats in today's society to true Christians
And by the saying, "I AM WHO I AM", what is meant that whatever self-awareness or identify we find is false because we are NOT God, therefore our Identity reveals itself through love for truth. There is no way to the Father except through Jesus.
Identity Crisis might hit closer to home than self-awareness but I believe you are mistaking Self-Awareness for being cognisant in this situation.
And yes, I do have an objection for the new age seeking identity because any identity sought is one we actively pursue through our own mistakes, actions, and decisions other then what is meant to happen to us. Therefore, it causes unnatural and un-needed stress to the mind, body, and soul. It is like constantly drugging someone to find something new, or even more close "to home", torturing one's self to determine new ideas, or in real plain sense, creativity. After all, the truth found in torture is less than what, 10%?
