By being who one is, that sounds like the separation of mind/brain from a body and then its soul. I do not completely agree with that, unless we still had purgatory around where souls were sent for trials/testing before Jesus Christ died for our sins.

I wish I could agree that being who/what one was created was enough, but then that would mean that the way we grew up, the love our parents shared for us and the Love we have for the Trinity would be completely irrelevant. Furthermore, I don't think that conscious and identity relate singularly to personality. I used to have a wicked cool personality but then I got caught up over some things and can't get over them. Therefore, you could say my thoughts aren't Godly at the time being but that is all the part of GROWTH, why God puts us in certain situations. Just being ourselves does not represent an accurate indication of WHO WE ARE.

Why? Let's take a look at this, we have 3 components/parts to :
1) Soul
2)Mind
3) Body

If you took a brain-dead person and just allowed him or her to be possessed by a soul, would you see who really is? No. A soul is a gift from God, in to a body God has created. The mind is what you grow up with, using your own judgement.

Therefore, I can say for certain that God has a plan for all of us. The truth will only set you free. And being yourself, well that means doing that which is right for you, your neighbors, for God. The Word is just a tool/means to correct or to find justice in one's action as well as a history. And most of all, it is an accurate representation of what and who Jesus was.
Lastly, if we are to be like Jesus, we need something to study. The Word.

In order God to know the real 'US' (the individual), we must be THE REAL US (a "SOUL"....as a son of "I am who I am") instead of a BOOK MADE "PERSON"ality (otherwise He can say to us "I never knew YOU").

God is no respecter of "PERSONS" (phonies, non-souls).


Be careful of what THE BOOK (bible) makes you, it will prevent you from being SINCERE.


God's true message in scripture is meant to first ESTABLISH who you really are.......
.....THEN He can restore you to the way Adam was BEFORE the fall (a living SOUL).

I don't know where you got the notion that I resent what you write when that is not the case. The things I write here aren't related to your discussions [such as control] but the way of Life.

The reason that I write about Self-Awareness and Identity + Persona is that without these things, being just who we are will allow the world to corrupt, control, and make you do what it wants. Without thought, you are pretty much an animation for whoever wants to take hold. Therefore, Self-Awareness is required, but only in to know, love, and understand God.

The only self-awareness that has ever been given to its full length from God is to King Solomon when he asked for knowledge instead of faith.

Any type of other self-awareness is detrimental because it opens up more of the world, makes us chained and only focus on how the world works. This is not our interest, for in Job, God asked him do you know where I store lightning or pretty much anything. The answer to self-awareness through human means only leads to the end.

"There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death."

Finally, I will reference Job one more time as well as any type of Biblical Figure. I will disprove to you and everyone else that being who we are without thought, persona, identity of who we are and our place in the world, and any type of conscious is actually against everything you said.

Yes, the way to God is through Jesus Christ, and yes, God already knew us before we were born.
If we take all these traits and characteristics away from us, it is essentially the same thing that happened to Job. God took HIS PROTECTION off Job, therefore Job lost many of his important features that kept him happy, loving, full of joy. Can you name anything that God keeps on us that has to do with his protection? Maybe thoughts of joy and love, self-awareness that is controlled and not demonically incited?

If we are to lose the ego, the self, identity of who we are, persona and JUST BE OURSELVES, we are asking God to take his protection off us because WE WANT TO BE OURSELVES, yet we ARE NOTHING WITHOUT GOD.

I believe I have answered the main discussion part of this. That there is no us without HIM. God is The Great "I AM". Everything He does is not without purpose. I wouldn't suggest you you try to lose yourself to this world and become a placeholder so that it all can begin to walk over you. For the world will not even spare the best of man. And that is talking solely about the evil nature of men.
