Re: Broke my Fast Wrong. What to do?

Although I broke my first fast gradually I was a bit too quick with it and jumped on heavy fatty and dry foods too quickly. I was also very greedy, stuffed super huge portions into myself. My bowel movements were probably still too weak or perhaps my gut bacteria hasn't grown back. The result was clogged bowels, a lot of stomach pain due to a lot of blocked gas iand sitting on the toilet for two days to give birth to the contents of my belly.

What I've done is jumping back to juicing and yoghurt that partially helped me but someone else might be able to give you even better advices to flush or to manage this in a different way.

The end of a fast is a wonderful period where even the simplest food (a piece of watery vegetable) is super delicious. I think it is worth living with the chance and enjoy this by ramping up slowly on the ladder towards the more complex foods.

It's also a good practice to pair refeeding with physical exercises and keeping it as a regular habit. Otherwise you you gain back only fat. With fasting you lose fat, and also some muscle. If you gain back the same weight without exercising than most of that weigh will probably be fat so you might end up with worse body fat percentage than what you had before fasting.
