Fastingmandy66,
We all have made this error in the beginning. Just take this experience consider it a lesson learned.
All new fasters should first read how to break a fast prior to starting a fast.
Most of us have a wrong idea what food is. Most people think that once they eat fruits and vegetables for a few weeks, after a fast, they can go back to eating normal foods, which in my dictionary are hardly even foods. All processed foods are not helping your body at all, it actually gives you very little nutrition and robs your body of other enzymes and minerals.
Animal protein is a myth that we live with, ask a question what does an elephant the biggest animal on the planet eats? Leaves is the answer. How does the big body get the protein? From the leaves obviously. The elephant (All herbivores) and the humans have grinding teeth called molars to grind down the fiber from plant foods. So eat plant based foods and you shall see the wonders.
No, the fast had its benefits alright, but by eating junk from iHop you have put your body into a toxic mode for it to work harder to digest the foods and clean the toxic load.
Your idea of staying on fresh fruits, freshly squeezed juices (not from supermarket) and raw vegetables is a good one. But many of us eat that way everyday. Then after a few weeks you can eat nuts and seeds for some good protein. Legumes and sprouts also will give you good protein.
After a month or so you can fast again f you wish. You will also benefit from a liver flush.
Peace.
