Adding the Morgellons word into Bubby's already overwhelming situation is not helpful at all.

There is no proof that Morgellons is no more than an out of control mite infestation which somehow involves the use or appearance of fibres. My theory is that a particular mite uses fibres to keep their track entrance open.

You're doing well Bubby. See if you can think of something to spread on the anus each night to discourage them from coming out. Vicks, vaseline, Eucalyptus oil on a cotton pad? A bit of a piece of sea sponge soaked in something and placed just inside the anus at night.?

Like an Iodine solution anything that smells bad but is bearable for you.

Do you have any Vermox in your arsenal? It is used to treat pinworms.
