parasite Rex describes in detail the ability that parasites including fungus have to change their hosts' behavior. You seem to be aware of some of the examples they talk about but if you haven't yet read it, I highly recommend it. I requested it from my library. parasites are everywhere! I spotted galls on the leaves of trees in my backyard shortly after reading it and then found two more types on my neighbors' trees, all showing recent parasitic activity, just as described in the book. The icing on the cake was when I discovered the cicada eating wasps burying their eggs and a cicada for their larvae to feast on throughout the winter months in my front yard. Your eyes will be opened!
