It is stated very clearly in the study that the participants "had not completely responded to previous nutritional intervention,", therefore some form of additional therapy was needed.

Also, from the discussion: "This trial attempted to see if adding the intervention of bioelectrical stimulation could result in symptomatic improvement to greater degrees for people with chronic infections. Many of the participants were greatly impressed by the effectiveness of the zapper;"

Although all subjects went through the nutritional support, the users of the engineered model of zapper showed greater improvement, especially the ones with Staph infections.

No, she added an additional resistor to the circuit to provide a 1/4 volt offset that was not in her original circuit. This is where some of less informed in electrical understanding fail to see the difference. She was very explicit and adamant about this being a necessary improvement.
