Re: Adding Nystatin Enema to the routine

I am surprised the way S. Boulardii works when it is injected directly in the colon. Since Sep 2014, I created a Fecebook group to give support to people who speaks Spanish about candidiasis. I am helping thousands of them around the world. The group has more than 2700 members already, most of them from Spain. Anyway, there are countries where there is nothing or almost nothing to treat this syndrome. I had the idea of using S. Boulardii in the retention enemas because it increases the SCFA, specially Butyrate and its antagonism against candida species.
To my surprise, people are having excellent results and many of them are excreting huge amounts of pseudomembranes and candida colonies during the enemas, even more than when using Nystatin retention enemas. There are people feeling well after years of suffering. I think there is a better way to improve it adding Lactulose and a Bifidobacterium blend to the retention enemas. It may work even better and faster than using S. Boulardii alone.
The S. Boulardii is without any doubt the best Probiotic I know to treat gastrointestinal diseases. So, I think it has a tremendous value to treat a cecal candidiasis and to normalize the intestinal flora.
