OK so. I held off on the enemas for a few days partially because I have been busy, and also I really dislike the enema bag setup I have. I used it only one time for the nystatin enema (top level post). So I waited for the same Faultless brand syringe style one dvjorge used off Amazon. Used it for the first time last night. Ok this got really interesting.
I had to be somewhere and was impatient, so I very quickly cleared myself out with distilled water after a BM. But it wasn't that much water and I hardly held it two minutes. I briefly tilted with my legs up. Then I did the nystatin. 1/2 teaspoon in about 8oz of water. But it is difficult to actually get all that out of the syringe -it ends up being 5-6oz probably.
I spent 15 minutes tilting sideways/up/right, and then expelled the nystatin. I did not get the white clumps in a short time as has been mentioned. I didn't last time either.
HOWEVER...about 4 hours later, I expelled a huge amount of the white strandish clumps. And literally nothing else. Just a mass of dead candida. That nystatin drops the hammer on those guys. What a victory. I ate a salad after the enema with the usual other antifungals because, why not. Along with a ton of probiotics. Hoping the fiber might help push out and mop up candida remains. A few hours after all that I had the worst gut pain since. Like clockwork, my BM this morning was laced with the white strands.
Now here's what concerns me. Another person who did this and had a very similar experience, got the white clumps, is still fighting it. And he started it a long time ago. I don't have the post in front of me, but over a year. I am astounded that you could damage candida so forcefully clumps of the stuff just die instantly, and still have to fight it for years.
My diet has been so-so because my muscles need carbs and I am busy. I am doing a granny smith apple here and there. But whenever I eat something like that, right after I drink nystatin. I also added in CandiClear5, which supposedly kills it mechanically with sharp microscopic edges. Nystatin and/or CandiClear5 EVERY time I had a carb.
What I noticed was that BM's would then have tons, and I mean tons, of the tiny white specks. Which I believe are young candida. I am thinking maybe I did indeed feed candida but the multiplied ones just couldn't do anything and were likely killed immediately. It may also be a factor with MSM, Glucosamine, fiber etc that it is difficult for them to take hold on intestine walls. However those small white specks stopped suddenly a few days ago. What I'm thinking now is that, conventional measures will allow you to keep this young candida in check, even if you eat carbs, by keeping pressure on them. However, the evil hive cluster of candida that has set up camp deeper down will continue to spawn, ready to spread as soon as you trip up your routine.
So it is necessary to both tackle the young candida from above, and their source from below, to eliminate it all at the same time.
I still have gas but it is much improved today. After my first nystatin enema, it was ridiculous. It abetted only slightly. After last night, I am not so bloated and not burping constantly. But I still can "on purpose" whenever I want!
I think I will try a glutamine enema today. It may help heal the intestine much more rapidly after ripping the bugs claws from it. Maybe add in some bifidobacteria as well.
I have a routine of supps but I have been randomly adding in different things just to keep the campaign varied. Two days ago I minced fresh ginger and steeped it in hot water and drank it, and then ate a cup of raw sauerkraut. Though I think all this stuff helps, I think it really comes down to:
1) Kill it with Nystatin and
2) Replenish good gut flora
I think anything else is just icing on the cake which will help in various ways, but the above is the condensed version to kick this bug.
