Re: Lower back pain

Vit C's got interesting interactions with minerals, so it can really puzzle. I wasn't getting the positive reactions to vit C over 2 grams a day myself, but having the right minerals about to balance it was a big boost.

Aka, suddenly the reactions to the C were energy, mental clarity, and a bit of a smile.

Notes on C:

oxidizes iron, chromium and manganese (when taken at the same time)

causes the body to utilize copper

uses up calcium and magnesium (so make sure you're eating and drinking your greens!)

http://www.karinya.com/bodyneeds.htm mentions something similar on the relationship between vit C and copper - and the copper-zinc-C balance.

He says.. water-soluable copper is necessary for vitamin C absorbtion.

Makes me wonder if most of the inorganic (unavailable) copper in the body is perhaps lipid-soluable and gets hung up in interstitial fluid because of diets so low in C?

Curious thought.

Anyways cheers from across the great big C. :) (the atlantic ocean, o' course.)
