From my understanding Zinc Monomethionine wont prevent copper absorbtion from food if take it same time with food. If have also copper defiency it then helps maybe more than citrate or other forms, and Zinc Monomethionine have good absorbtion also.

Zinc Monomethionine might be more gentle, i think it's good to generally try different forms. I think it's possible that Zinc Monomethionine give you more zinc to body but wont cause so rapid depletion of toxic copper as other forms, and as your body copper/zinc ratio will change to better you will be more relaxed,less depressed, less wired, and when body is able to once again build the Metallothionein
system operational it helps detox better heavy metals like copper.maybe zinc picolinate is causing too quick copper detox for you ?

I used zinc citrate before Zinc Monomethionine, and i do feel i get less nausea with Zinc Monomethionine, i can take 30mg in the morning without much any nausea, with citrate i got quite bad nausea in morning.
