Re: Exhausted even after 1 week of breaking a 2 day dry fast
Thanks DL for sharing your knowledge and experience.
I should really seriously research calorie intake.
I eat, if hungry, one main meal (2 palm-fulls of raw vegetables) and again if hungry, two small meals (1 palm full of fruit). At times I might snack once a day on nuts or sprouts, else I just add them to the vegetables. I drink wheatgrass juice when I wake up in the morning and occasionally seabuckthorne juice.
About 5 meals a day -
Shelton says one should ideally eat one meal a day, and if really hungry, one or two more. I remember chrisb writing about his diet and he too eats one main meal and if hungry, two smaller meals, If I am not mistaken. According to
Shelton the liver, kidneys, etc. need rest and if we eat after every 3 hours or so we don't give them that rest, tiring them out and making them inefficient. This makes intuitive sense to me so I try not to eat very often, although at times I fail.
I wonder how you know that you are really hungry? Do you feel you experience true hunger? I don't think I experience true hunger. This December I plan to do a 30 day
Water Fast and I hope I am closer to true hunger then. Although even now, I feel I have a better intuitive sense of the nutritional quality of my food and of my body's needs than most people on a standard diet.
