"75156, didn't you once say you had a relative that brought you shame due to his poor behavior?' no i did not say that.  what i said was that one congregation at a church that i attended knew about one of the lay preachers past history of being a pedophile and did nothing to inform any parents or the temporary pastor of this mans convictions, and he committed the very same crime, again, and hung himself before he could be charged.

caring about family is natural, just as it is natural to want to care about people that are members of a group.  but there is no excuse for PRETENDING that a child molester is anything other than what they are whether its someone in the church or someone in the family.  there are many other examples of this double standards and pretending in the name of god.  i dont agree with it at all
