Did you ever find something to help with the back issues? I have suffered with this issue for seven years. I have to sleep at a 80-90 degree angle when sleeping anywhere. That's not really fun at all. I also have suffered from sleep deprivation due to this back issue. I dont know if it is a muscle issue or a spine issue? One thing that I have done is to let everything me in my house know that I have this issue. This allows me to get more sleep during down time.
