When to resort to progesterone cream?
Hi there,
Just to let you know my findings with using progesterone cream - (bioidentical) I used it for 6 months and felt fantastic for 6 months - no fatigue/
Depression or period pain but yes to one migrane a month the day bef9re my period - but then the cream started having the opposite effect and I had insomnia and a strange wired manic feeling and headache - from my research I found out about dermal fatigue as I was applying it to my chest area and my body couldnt absorb anymore. I gave it a break for a while and all my
Depression exhaustion period pain and migrane plagued me each month on certain phases of my cycle yet again (been trying to sort this out for 15 years!!!). I was desperate for a solution tried antidepressants(felt poisoned didnt work) and booked in for a mirena next month . I read this website again from DR Wong's site
totalityofbeingdotcom goto Articles goto HappyHormones and in another anti-aging mag that if you apply the progesterone cream in the morning and on the skin of the vulva the progesterone is delivered to the ovaries where it is utilised better than through the skin on other parts of the body. Well its been 5 days and I am a new person motivated happy and glad to be alive - and am considering not bothering with the mirena as maybe the progesterone they use is synthetic and creates these reactions but I am going to write to Dr Wong as he is the one that helped me with the info I needed to ask my doctor to get the bioidentical progesterone cream - there are certain hormones levels you need to be tested for- to ascertain how estrogen dominant you are- I also found a cheaper cream that works just as good on vrp DOT com called gentle changes plus. bioidential cream from a compounding chemist is $80aud.
I also followed food combining principals to loose all the fat around my tummy and thighs. eg fit for life book or google food combining (but dont believe in becoming vegetarian or drinking any soy!! as some sites rant about food combining and vegan is the way - I tried that and suffered)
I hope this info helps you!
