I don't know much about SIBO and Crohn's but you can identify candida via labs if you have a recurrent yeast infection and severe intestinal overgrowth. I had a swab taken by my ob/gyn which was why I was prescribed diflucan many times (and every time I take them, the yeast infection disappears and comes back after stopping the treatment). I also saw them in my poop in small white circles which could be mistaken for parasite eggs.. but I know they are not parasites because they only appear after using antifungals and didn't show up when I took the anti parasitic meds). I've also done nystatin, which made me poop out long white strings of them. Candida overgrowth is definitely not "bogus".
