The colon is full of biofilms! There is very little space without a biofilm in the colon from my understanding. That is why it is so difficult to alter the colon microbiota. However, removing their food source can work over a long period of time which is how those diets work, that and some carefully recommended herbs that are part of them.

I am not at all convinced about FMT.
