Re: NB results Poll: How did NB work for you?

Ok, here is my summary. Despite working at being healthy all my life, symptoms of celiac disease (gluten intolerance) began manifesting themselves. Doctors never suggested being tested for CD so things got much worse over time since CD becomes a disease of malabsorption as gluten damages the small intestines. Finally, I self-diagnosed and began to regain my health. Gained weight, no longer exhausted, no unrelenting diarrhea, etc.

I thought I was on the road to great health but then began having migraines which eventually took over my life. Since I was going through menopause, I figured this was just a brief detour and would be over soon. Began for the first time to take hormone replacement therapy. Made some things better but not the migraines. Months turned into years with no improvement.

I saw some good alternative doctors who treated me for low thyroid function. Hoped this would be the answer, but still had the headaches regularly. At some point, everything seemed to crash. Could barely get out of bed. It turns out that my adrenals couldn't support the thyroids so I finally found NB.

My first hair test revealed high copper and every other mineral either too high or too low. Very high calcium since high copper will cause a "calcium shell."

I've seen a lot of changes and definitely felt worse in some aspects as copper has come out and other metals as well. Have dumped aluminum, cadmium, lead, nickel, etc. And continue to.

I consulted directly with Analytical Research Labs for a couple of years since I didn't know of any practitioners who could help me. They were great as far as it went. Unfortunately, they don't emphasize detox so coffee enemas were never mentioned. Once I found Dr. Larry McHaney, he pushed me to do CEs, and they made a HUGE difference! My body was trying to dump lots of bad stuff but my elimination wasn't that great. And I now know that my liver wasn't functioning very well. Likely mostly due to copper being stored there, but parasites may have also been a big problem since I began seeing them come out about 9 months into doing daily CEs.

parasites have obviously gotten quite a stronghold on me since I've seen several different kinds. I guess an unhealthy body for so many years is the ideal host. I still see them daily, but not so many as early on.

Phosphorus is an indication of digestive fire, and mine was only 10 or 11 for the first few years of retesting. Now it is 16...the ideal level!! So that's very good news. It means my digestion is so much better, and I believe getting rid of most of the parasites is part of that.

Yes, I try to do all aspects if NB. I try to get 9 hours of sleep and take a nap during the day if I need one. I drink spring water, take the supplements and none that aren't approved by my practitioner. I don't fret if I'm not feeling well because copper is still coming out and definitely can make me feel lousy.

The beauty of NB is that the body heals what is most important to it, not what we think is. I started out thinking copper was my main problem but now realize how the parasites were of higher importance to be dealt with. My copper still isn't ideal but will be in time. I know that more of the other heavy metals will also come out.

The days I feel well my thinking is very clear, energy is awesome, sleep is very sound. Actually, I sleep well most nights, and that is a result of NB. My cortisol, based on saliva tests, was messed up with it being quite low mid-afternoon and very high in the wee hours of the morning. That has changed.
