Re: Intense Itching/Burning Scalp and Hair Loss

Hello, I am looking for the date/year this post was started so that I'm not responding to an old topic.

I've found a little relief using some products that are widely available. I haven't experienced total relief, but some is better than none, and my hair is beginning to grow back slowly. Once again slowly is better than not at all.

Note: For our hair it is recommended not to use the same oil type after 2-3 days, our hair responds if we use olive 2-3 days, then grapeseed, then coconut, and etc.

Ok African Pride brand braid spray (Olive Miracle) directly to the affected area of the scalp as needed helped me, but seems over time not to stop the itch anymore.

Follicle healer pomade(NOT cream).

The Monistat external cream (yes really) helped for awhile

and the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus (contains neem oil) seems to work well on that part of my scalp. If I had any sense I'd buy the black soap one as well and mix them together (lack of funds right now)

and believe it or not Neutralizing Shampoo has helped though I have not chemically treated my hair since 1998! After two uses it seems that my hair is growing back stronger. Hope this helps!
