Re: Intense Itching/Burning Scalp and Hair Loss

Hello - I can sympathize with you. I experienced a very stressful event about 1 1/2 years ago. About 3 months later I was losing hair. I have spent this 1 1/2 years looking for answers. I have approached it from a nutritional standpoint and that has worked well. I have had issues with candida overgrowth all my adult life, but did not make the connection at this time. It is just recently that I have made the connection when I read posts about 'burning' and 'itching' of the scalp and candidiasis. I also needed thyroid replacement very badly at this time. I had a low TSH so no traditional doctor would prescribe T-3 for me. I am not taking BHRT natural, plant derived T-3 and it has worked extremely well for me. My hair is back to shiny and healthy. The T-3 has not made my hair thicker though. I am now addressing the overgrowth of candida and expect this is the last piece of the puzzle. If you wish to take a natural thyroid supplement not derived from animals, then check out compounded T-3 which is NOT Cytomel. I am very sensitive to drugs and this (not a drug) has been wonderful for me and no side effects.

To summarize, it is my strong belief that candida overgrowth is causing your burning, itching and hair loss.

Good luck!

Jan
