Re: Intense Itching/Burning Scalp and Hair Loss

I too have Burning Scalp Syndrome and it has ruined my life. It started out as small, circular burning pain just under my scalp at the bangs area of my head. My hair is falling out. I have had this for a few years now and at one time the pains stopped and my hair began to grow back in, but now it is worse than ever. I had no rashes or itching at first but now the burning increased severely to all over my head and my hair is falling out more than ever and now have heavy rashes with extreme itching. I have developed a lot of allergies as well in the last month or so. The pain is excruciating and I don't know how much longer I can take this. Not one doctor has been able to help me or even acknowledge they know about what is happening. I've been to specialists and now will be going for a biopsy in June. I'm beginning to suspect its yeast in my body but I'm not really sure. I've been posting in another forum called Topix under " Has anyone else suffered from Burning Scalp Syndrome? " and on the advise of a chiropractor who posts in this forum, I have stopped taking all vitamin supplements and this has helped greatly. He told me not to expect this to heal quickly but in time it will get better with possible relapses and then eventually stop altogether. I'm hoping someone here will know more about this. My doctors don't, I don't and no one seems to know what this is. Please help!!!!! Tweet
