Re: Mirena hell: does it cause stress/urge incontinence?

Wow, Jenny, I'm so sorry to hear about these problems. I almost considered a Mirena - it was being pushed by my OBGYN as a safe, easy thing. Reading these posts make me glad I held off!

The progesterone cream is a good suggestion. You may also want to check out Pomegranate Health's BalancePom which uses pomegranate extracts (fruit, seed oil and skin) to help restore hormonal balance. I've heard it's helped many women dealing with birth control induced hormonal issues:

Also, I drink a lot of nettle tea in the spring. It's not just good for male hormonal health. It can help women with hormones and incontinence, too.

Finally, you may want to try eleuthero which is a very gentle and effective adaptogen that helps the body recalibrate and deal with stress. Here's an article about it I just got today. If you look around, you'll find more about it's general adaptogenic properties:

Trust your instincts - you are the expert on your body. Use the doctor as a consultant. but take their advice with a grain of salt. They go with percentages, not the full picture!
