Re: What Adrenal Fatigue Really Is - General Adaptation Syndrome
It's a little funny you call others madman with the company you keep.
"Apparently he thinks that the only thing I did to get better was eat enough calories."
No, you also did one of the other things I recommend people do; eat more carbs.
"I emphasize addressing things like
Histamine Intolerance , sodium wasting, and electrolyte imbalance played the biggest roles in my progress."
Wow, all this time I thought is was your "10 years of yo-yo dieting, an eating disorder and over exercise" because of your "obsessive efforts to stay thin and trim" that was doing you in, but I guess it was mostly an intolerance to histamine and an electrolyte imbalance. What a coincidence under-eating and over-exercising will throw your electrolytes out of balance and deplete your sodium, along with cause allergies and intolerances.
But maybe you're right:
Histamine Intolerance mimics anorexia nervosa
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19907926
But then again, what a coincidence if you have this intolerance to histamine with also having an obsession to stay thin and trim.
I hope you're right for your sake, or you might have a long road ahead of you in getting fully well if you're going down the wrong road. Going down the wrong road will inevitably lead to desperation, which might cause people to consider trying desperate things, like urine therapy.
Since you got so much better doing two of the three things I preach around here (sufficient calories, high-carb, low-fat), maybe you should experiment my third piece of advice and lowering your fat intake to see if that makes a difference.
It would be a shame if that was your missing link to wellness, but you hold off trying because of all the hate you hold against me in your heart.
