two thoughts.. perhaps you picked up a
parasite from the kayak trip? or, you are developing
food intolerances . that's what breaks me out. no matter how many cleanses i do, pills i take (other than pore-drying vitamins or hormone altering substances - toxic at the amounts you would need - ex., vitamin A or green tea extract) - i still break out from some foods. mostly from the common allergens - soy, milk, wheat, peanut; but also some other foods - some fruits, nuts, veggies - and
preservatives break me out real bad. some intolerances go away over time, but most do not. Dr. Ayers who has a blog called Cooling Inflammation, says it is because we are missing important gut flora that were murdered by
Antibiotics . i've been on many many rounds throughout childhood. he says to get those back, we must eat homemade vegetable ferments and also not wash our hands so much. i thought candida was to blame for me, but even after a long round of Nystatin and a very strict candida diet for a long time, most intolerances did not go away. I'm now trying the home fermentation route and also chelation for mercury. do you have mercury fillings? my suggestion would be to try an
Elimination Diet to see if diet is what's causing it. basically, start out with just a few non-allergenic foods - white rice, lamb for ex. eat just those for two days, and see if your breakouts stop. then, add in one food at a time. you can have an intolerance to anything. I break out from chicken, kiwi, ginger, cinnamon etc etc. However, my face is often 100% clear because i've learned what to stay away from. Every so often i will test a food and see.
